The Tea Road is situated on the ECR main road 100 meters from the beach and only 100 meters south of the Auroville entrance road. This location offers convenient access both to the former French colony of Pondicherry and to the international township of Auroville dedicated to Human Unity. Both are tourist locations of world renown.

The White Town of Pondicherry is rich in French colonial architecture. The Black Town has many Hindu temples. The entire area breathes spirituality on account of the Eighteen Tamil Siddhas of the past and of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother of more recent times. Nearby one can enjoy a refreshing walk on beach sand through fishing villages.

The road south takes us along the coast to Sri Aurobindo Ashram which in ancient times used to be the Vedic University of Agastiya. Further south it reaches Chidambaram which is the magnetic navel of this Earth. Spiritual practitioners are helped towards higher attainment by these magnetic emanations as exemplified by all Siddhas connected with the area.
